Severja
From Italia
Stage Unda

Italian-born and long based in Berlin, Severja has spent the last decade shaping the contemporary European underground scene, most visibly through Midgar, the label and platform he founded in 2014. There, sound, visual language and curation are treated as a single, evolving ecosystem, and his work has left a deep imprint on a generation of artists and organisers - including ourselves at useless seconds. Jacopo (his real name) even became a dear friend over the past years, as we share a common musical vision and have been co-organizing a few parties together. Parallel to this, Severja has become an essential presence within the Monument festival team, contributing to both its visual identity and its booking philosophy.

Besides his excellent curations, Severja also earned a solid reputation thanks to his genre-defying selections. Between wormhole techno, psychedelic bass music and tripped-out DnB, his sets seem to absorb almost anything before digesting it into a single coherent arc. For memòri, he will draw from the quieter end of that spectrum in search for dark matter, leaning into textured ambient and kaleidoscopic downtempo zones, even if his insatiable curiosity for musical discovery is more than likely to offer us some wonderful surprises.
