Malesa live
Born in electroacoustic academia's sterile corridors from the fusion of two sonic alchemists, Paola Avilés (DalidaCarnage) and Eloi Petillon (Trois-Quarts Taxi System), Malesa transcends the boundaries between vocal shamanism, experimental production and sound design virtuosity.
Their 2024 debut "Sal y Sangre" materializes as a moonlit collision of epic drones, enchanted trip-hop ballads and club incantations, a chiaroscuro dreamscape where stone giants and snake tongues dance through field recordings and digital mist. Avilés' processed vocals and prehispanic zoomorphic ocarinas dialogue with Petillon's drum programming and emotive guitar riffs, crafting a hybrid fantasy where love and madness, ritual and rhythm seamlessly coalesce.
Currently bubbling in their sonic cauldron, their next opus promises a radical mutation: trip-hop melted down in metallic acid baths, bass frequencies twisted into rock-infused mantras. Each possession oscillates between cyber-folk lullabies and metallic eruptions, where canto tradicional drifts through head-banging catharsis.
